METAL SHOP & LIGHTING QUALITY MANAGER

- QUALITY CONTROL POSITIONS -

  • In line with the company Total Quality Management objectives & by representing Metal & Lighting Quality Control in cross-functional teams:

    • Lead both Incoming, Subcontractors, In-Process & Final Quality Control Teams to ensure the conformity of Outgoing Metal Hardware, Frames & Lighting Products to Company Standards as well Customers & Regulatory requirements.

    • Contribute to Failure Reporting & Analysis as well as to Corrective & Preventive Action Planning

  • As the Leader of the Incoming, Subcontractors, In-Process & Final Quality Control Teams of Metal & Lighting Workshops, you are responsible for :

    • Implement Products & Process Control Plans (P/PCP) to ensure that processes are followed & products are conform to latest specified quality requirements for Incoming materials & Subcontracted Products, In-Process & Outgoing products

    • Document & Maintain records of Inspections & Tests as well Corrective & Preventives Actions Implementation for each Workshop & each Subcontractors

    • Set regular routine for all Inline & Subcontractors Quality Controllers as well as Subcontractors own Quality Controllers

    • Collaborate with Quality Engineering and Casegoods/Subcontractors QC & Production Managers to ensure that all are following the same Company Standards & Specifications

    • Proactively help eliminating Products rejection by issuing Quality Alerts, identifying Quality issue & isolating defective products

    • Support Closed-Loop Corrective Action (CLCA) : Failure Root Cause Analysis (RCA), brainstorm ideas to create solutions for identified problems & define Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA)

    • Proactively follow-up & ensure that reported Quality Alerts or Weekly Inspection Call-outs Corrective & Preventive Action Plans are effectively applied by Company/Subcontractors Production Units until complete resolution

    • Routinely audit the active use of QC inspection checklist & tools

    • Together with Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering and Quality Assurance teams establish, maintain & improve Company Quality Standards

    • Participate to NPI gate reviews to get a heads-up knowledge before mass production

    • Attend to Production, Inline & Resolve Customer Issues (RCI) Meetings to proactively address and/or emphasize on Quality issues & resolutions

    • Attend Customer QC inspections to ensure that Company Standards are understood & address Quality related questions & issues

    • Actively take part to Continuous Improvement projects led by Suppliers Quality & Performance Management (SQPM) Team Propose & Lead to help Subcontractors improving their Overall Performance (Time, Cost & Quality) involving the necessary Company & Subcontractors Resources

    • Establish regular Inline Quality Standards Refresher Meetings and short course Quality Training for both Company/Subcontractors Production Line leaders

    • Initiate group meeting on both Company/Subcontractors Shop Floors to show DO & DON’T for specific quality issue found to enhance better understanding

    • Mentor & train Quality Control Team Members to improve & upgrade their skills

    • Provide quality guidelines, share best practices & enable Quality compliance to Customer requirements

    • Recommend & Contribute to Products & QC Continuous Improvements

    • Other tasks as required by Management

  • • Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality Management preferred

    • Extensive experience in a well established Quality Assurance environment required

    • Understanding of Total Quality Management & Lean with practical experience is a plus

    • Excellent understanding of Indoor Luxury Furniture Quality Requirements is desired

    • Demonstrated performance working within cross-functional teams with requisite drive & energy

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving & decision-making skills

    • Able to drive multiple tasks to completion within a fixed timeframe and in a pressured environment

    • Excellent verbal, written communication abilities; able to communicate convincingly at all levels and with all functions in English

    • Forward planner, able to inspire & motivate his/her team and beyond

    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP Systems

    • Strong interpersonal skills, able to deal with ambiguities, conflicts and adversarial relationships

    • Resourceful, self-starter, driven to achieve high standards, accountable, assertive, enthusiastic, dedicated & result oriented
